Our Mission
The Mental Drive of Detroit (TMDD) is a mental health consultation and counseling agency located in Detroit, Michigan that includes professional counselors and social workers. The mission of TMDD is: “To improve the understanding of mental health through awareness and education to discontinue stigmas and barriers that prevent mental wellness.” Acknowledging the stigmas and barriers associated with receiving treatment for mental health disorders enhances the services for individuals, groups, and communities to reach wellness.
The Mental Drive of Detroit recognizes the value of a healthy lifestyle to promote wellness through consultation and counseling. The Mental Drive of Detroit researches organization and management structures, provides consultation to agencies, organizations, corporations, educational institutions, spiritual entities, and communities to implement change, and provides mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Our staff includes counselors who are licensed by the State of Michigan, members of professional organizations such as the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), Chi Sigma Iota (CSI) International Honor Society, and are trained in Critical Incident Stress and Management (CISM) and other evidence based practices.
